Compare Candidates, Debate Issues at TwoSides

A new start-up called TwoSides calls itself a “social debate platform” and attempts to turn complex issues into structured conversations and infographics.

The site could be well-timed in the lead-up to the 2012 U.S. presidential election, and it has created a special section to help users compare their own viewpoints with those of the leading candidates.

TwoSides is also an open platform for any sort of conversation in which members can express distinct viewpoints and vote for them. Users get credit for convincing other people to adopt their views.

The site has a lot going on visually, and it’s hard to know where to get a foothold. Still, its three-panel display and infographics have a nice visual heft as compared to blogs, Q&A sites and other unstructured discussions.

TwoSides has a young three-man team and has raised $25,000 from early Google employee David Jeske.
